The music personality of Janne began to evolve in the age of nine with the studies in music school and classical guitar. The classical guitar studies went on for several years in Tampere Conservatoire. In the end the electric guitar was more interresting for evolving Janne.
In the college jamsessions Janne started to develop a strong instrumental awareness which was shown as a characteristic and careful control in the performances with different types of instruments. Later this vision in music has spread and made Janne build a part of his own equipment - amps and custom stomp boxes.
Some guitarplayers have truly touched Janne with their music. These are Jimi Hendrix, Steve Howe and Tom Morello.
